The Badger is a small but powerful hunter that has few natural enemies due to its thick skin and ferocious defensive abilities. Due to the bone crushing power of the Badger’s jaws and their overall strength and persistence, they can adapt to and prosper in almost any environment. A true general purpose predator. Learn more
The BCL Badger is as versatile as the creature it’s named for. The Badger was created as a rugged and dependable battle rifle, designed specifically for greater reliability in adverse conditions. To achieve this, the Badger borrows its long stroke piston based operating system from the unfailing, battle proven AK47. The long stroke piston system in the Badger allows for less routine maintenance than direct impingement rifles, eliminates bolt carrier tilt and the additional moving parts of a short-stroke piston and has a hand adjustable gas system.
The Badger adjustable gas system allows the gas to be completely shut off (for an accurate one round shot without the recoil of the BCG moving back), and additional settings tuned for suppressors and high velocity ammunition. To achieve greater barrel harmonics and the added stability of a monolithic upper receiver, the Badger has an extended upper receiver that allows the rail to be bolted directly to the upper, without intrusive contact to the barrel nut or any other parts.
With barrel length options of 11.5, 14.5, 16.75 and 18.5 inches, a match grade drop-in trigger, and standard Magpul furniture, the Badger is just as capable of hitting targets at long ranges, as it is engaging multiple targets in a close quarter environment.
